After an extremely long, no-scoring game of everyone bouncing the ball off the post, Portugal finally won. Congratulations boys. This year's UEFA Euro Finals lessened my lack of interest in this sport as it seemed actual contact was made between players before one of them fell down in a manner reflecting Spanish soap opera. I hope this league and others like it will be able to clean up the corruption that goes on because the fans deserve to be able to watch and the players deserve to compete in a clean game.
Nico Rosenberg is not going to appeal his demotion from second to third place in the Formula 1 British Grand Prix. Apparently telling your driver his gear box is about to go via radio is okay. Telling him which gears to avoid is not. His team, Mercedes, wants to continue to discuss 'the subject of the perceived over-regulation of the sport'. I'm assuming they're really saying 'Too many rules for driving in circles.'
